BREAST REDUCTION OVERVIEW

+ WHY UNDERGO A BREAST REDUCTION?

Oversized, heavy breasts can have uncomfortable physical and psychological side effects. Breast reduction procedures will reduce the size of your breasts and help balance your entire body. Breasts that are too large for your frame can cause pain, discomfort and lead to bad posture. Plus, the appearance of large breasts can cause feelings of shame and embarrassment. To ensure a personalized experience, patients will begin their breast reduction experience by meeting with a doctor to discuss the procedure in detail.

+ HOW BREAST REDUCTION IS PERFORMED

In order to prepare for breast reduction surgery, you will meet with our surgical team to discuss the procedure and what it entails. Together, we will come up with a treatment plan that addresses the concerns you have with your breasts. Breast reduction is a procedure in which excess breast tissue, fat and skin is removed to bring the breasts into better proportion with the rest of the body. Breast reduction is an outpatient procedure performed at our surgical center. When you arrive at our facility our expert team will welcome you and put you at ease before guiding you to one of our operating rooms. An anesthesiologist will administer medication so you remain comfortable throughout the procedure.

+ CANDIDATES FOR BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY

Do you feel like your breasts are too big for your body? You may be a good candidate for breast reduction if you are in good physical health and feel that your breast interferes with your physical activity and level of personal comfort. Additionally, if you are self conscious about your size, have poor posture, suffer from neck and back pain, your bra straps dig into your shoulders, or you have skin irritation below the crease of your breasts. You may also be a good candidate for breast reduction if your breasts hang low or your nipples rest below your breast crease when not supported.
